We Not Rich… Yet

This is an actual call from a woman who was getting her car repossessed from the bank. Listen until the end and hear how she thinks it is going to work itself out.

No wonder Obama was elected — he’s gonna make people rich!

I guess that we are truly in for a long, long ride.

  2. Mike F. Says:

I have to say this is probably one of the most disappointing posts I’ve seen on the FF. In my opinion, this article in no way, shape or form helps with the founding ideals of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Cash”. All this article appears to do is show the ignorance of one potential voter.

Constructive criticism is one thing but If this forum is merely going to be an Obama bashing venue, this might just be one “Loyal Patriot” who leaves the fold.

  3. McCain Says:

    @Mike F. -

    dude shut the fuck up

  4. Matt Johnson Says:

@McCain - There’s no place for that here. If you don’t have something constructive to say, don’t post a comment.

  5. Matt Johnson Says:

@Mike F. - You’re right. But the disappointment should come from knowing >50% of our citizens voted for a shallow, populist campaign platform, full of empty promises of “hope” in the form of handouts.

The disappoint should come stem from the fact that people out there now expect the government to give them money just because they don’t have any.

“…Constructive criticism is one thing but If this forum is merely going to be an Obama bashing venue, this might just be one “Loyal Patriot” who leaves the fold…”

This article has nothing to do with Obama. It has everything to do with the ignorance and laziness of a country that has outsourced personal responsibility to government.

When it comes to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Cash,” rule #1 is to understand your customer. If you want to make money in this market, it’s imperative to know who you’ll be dealing with out there.

  6. Mike F. Says:

@McCain - It would appear that the caller featured in this article isn’t the only ignorant individual around. While I applaud your willingness to share your thoughts within the Forum, I would recommend a little more tact with your comments.

@ Matt - Events these days are looking grim. There are more terrorist now then ever before. There has been an unprecedented global outpouring of resentment Towards the US. And let us not forget about our economy which is in serious need of a facelift. The Prospect For Hope and Change is appealing to many individuals regardless of the color of ones skin or race to which they belong. Perhaps empty Promises will come from on high, but its premature to automatically dismiss them when the man hasn’t yet taken office.

While recent events might argue to the contrary, it is my belief that the majority of Citizens don’t expect an individual handout. Most rational people know that hard work and dedication are the properties that enable success. And I might add that It was only under extreme conditions that the current administration felt compelled to put forward the original Bailout plan.

Obama aside, I take to heart your Main transcending point of the apparent “ignorance and laziness of a country that has outsourced personal responsibility to government.”. As a country, we should be concerned if a majority of our country prefers laziness over productivity and ignorance over knowledge. That’s a scary thought. What is wrong with a perception of high expectations from our government? By anyone’s admission , the Government isn’t perfect.; far from it. With that said, there’s no reason to be skeptical. The Government is here to serve its citizens, Not the other way around. It’s our job to ensure that they act wisely and are held accountable for their actions. In a fundamental way that’s what elections are all about.

  7. Rob Viglione Says:

Mike F, to compound on your last thought…it is my intention to use The Freedom Factory to add as much scrutiny as possible to all of our public officials. We must always remember that they work for us and we are the last safeguard on containing their power over our lives. The more power a person has to affect other peoples’ lives, the tougher we must all be in checking their authority and ensuring they remain within legal bounds.

We live in an age where America is experiencing unprecedented growth in government power. Power is a zero sum game, meaning that if government expands its power it does so at the expense of individual sovereignty. I will forever remain skeptical of those who claim legitimacy in demanding I abdicate control over my own life. I don’t care how many people they convince to vote for them …there are some things that are not for sale or for vote, if there really is a distinction between the two.

  8. Brian Meyers Says:

    @We not rich yet!!!! - INGunOwners -
Bull it’s real, I bet it’s made up. Do you know the source? Besides the real redistribution of wealth started in 1981, at the beginning of the Reagan administration.

  9. Rob Viglione Says:

Brian, the audio clip came to us via a circuitous path, so I cannot validate its authenticity. The point of posting it was to demonstrate a general trend towards reliance on government instead of ourselves. It’s more a comical interpretation of that trend…scary if real, though!

  10. duh Says:

Rick Wagoner, Alan Mullaly and Bob Nardelli are looking to the government, too.

Along with Wall St banks, etc. When the captians of industry are looking to the government for handouts, is it too crazy for a citizen to think the same way?

So, compunding on Rob’s remark … it’s not suprising a person would think the governemt was going to be there for them. It’s just scary it has come to this with the examples above.

  11. Brandi Jo Newman Says:

OOOOOOOOHH MY! Where in the Constitution does it say that everyone gets to be rich? I have read the Constitution a few times (skimming) no where does it say anything about free education, free income, free housing, free health care, free anything. My take from the Constitution was that everyone had the right to pursue there passion, there mission to achieve greatness. This poor woman is in for a rude awakening. Here in Texas its a bit different but ‘changing’ every with every session of the legislature.

  12. birgit Says:

This is a good as the jail birds thinking he will let them all out(seriously) and Peggy?? whose mortage and gas he will pay.Where were those promises made…I want my share of Santa Bama’s Sheeple Bailout!

  13. Shane Vander Hart Says:

Well shoot. I’m waiting for my check in the mail, aren’t you?

  14. DaddyYo Says:

All I hear is some fast forward Mickey Mouse voice that you can’t understand.

Would it make you feel better if I told you a woman who got mad at a co-worker of mine because her surgery request under workers compensation wasn’t being processed fast enough for her, and she said “Obama would let me have the surgery NOW”. Notice the emphasis on the NOW. It’s all about ME ME ME ME!!!!

I don’t consider a socialist who promised the moon to the ignorant to get elected, knowing full well he couldn’t deliver; exactly “bashing”. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  16. Mike.F Says:

    Yes, you are wrong.
This so called “Socialist” happens to be the President of the United States.
That the President will fail is a reasonable concern but instead of prematurely judging him, try giving him more then a week to deliver on his promises.

On a side note, I think it’s a bit worrisome that you consider the majority of the country Ignorant just for voting for the President. Although you couldn’t tell it from this website, it’s a minority opinion that he will lead the country in the wrong direction.

We won’t know one way or the other for quite some time. I suggest keeping an open mind and see where this leader takes us.

  17. LibertyRedux Says:

Oh my science! This lady is nuts…or just retarted. What in sciences name is wrong with these people. Sheep I tell you…SHEEP! This is the kind of stuff I’m not really sure how to respond. It’s genuinly shocking but at the same time not really because we see/hear it so much these days. Take responsibility for you own life lady. What a loser.

  18. PLR Products Says:

This is a very informative post! Keep up the good work.

  19. Private Label Rights Says:

Wow I’m so glad that I read this post.
