Making substances illegal drives production and distribution into the black market. Hundreds of billions are driven into the hands of violent criminals, and then more is spent fighting them. 

All of this to prevent adults from using substances of their choice. America should take a lesson from our own history-the failed experiment of Alcohol Prohibition. It was repealed after 13 years of failure, in which decision-makers realized the costs of prohibition far exceeded the costs of usage.</description>

		<description>How ironic...Greenspan causes the inflationary bubble that takes down the entire 
financial system, then says that government should confiscate what&#039;s left. Of course we are told this will be temporary, but we were similarly duped with the income tax in 1913.</description>
